My Role

Will is a reporter and online web editor for the Chicago Tribune. He also works with Page 2 columnist John Kass.

Will previously covered breaking crime, fire and political news for the Tribune's Breaking News Center. Prior to arriving at the Tribune, Will was a crime and investigative reporter for the Daily Southtown in Tinley Park (now the SouthtownStar) of the Sun Times Media Group.
My Biography

Will Lee arrived at the Tribune in Summer 2009 after working nearly five years as a reporter at the Daily Southtown. Prior to that, he covered cops, courts and the Cook County Board for the City News Service, under legendary editors Paul Zimbrakos and Heywood "Woody" Hoffman.

At the Tribune, Will has written on a wide array of topics, from crime and courts, to entertainment and video gaming. As a crime reporter, Will says he enjoys taking a closer look at the everyday calamities that have citizens rushing home at night, locking the doors behind him.

"I think the public would be surprised at what actions can turns a citizen into a killer."
My Interests

Will Lee has a passion for pop culture (Not reality TV), cartoons, video games, art deco design and Soul music mostly from the 1970s and 80s. He has an affinity for True Crime, documentaries and ethnic foods.

Will also has an unhealthy obsession with bacon.
