William Lee
Breaking News reporter
My Role

Will covers breaking crime, fire and political news for the Tribune's Breaking News Center.
My Biography

Will Lee arrived at the Tribune in Summer 2010 after working nearly five years as a reporter at the SouthtownStar, formerly the Daily Southtown. Prior to that, he covered cops, courts and the Cook County Board for the legendary City News Service, which churned out generations of Chicago crime reporters.

As a crime reporter, Will likes to take a closer look at the everyday calamities that have citizens rushing home at night, locking the doors behind him.

"I think the public would be surprised at what actions can turns a citizen into a killer."
My Interests

A self-described child of the 80s, Will Lee has a passion for pop culture (Not reality TV), cartoons, video games, Art Deco design and Soul music mostly from the 1970s and 80s. He has an affinity for True Crime, documentaries and ethnic foods. Will also has an unhealthy obsession with bacon.
