My Role

My Biography

Born in Chicago and raised in New Hampshire, Steve Johnson started at the Tribune after graduating Brown University in 1986. He has served as television critic, Sunday Magazine staff writer, media columnist, Internet critic, metro reporter, lifestyle columnist, and features writer, but not in that order. He has also contributed book and dining reviews and travel pieces. Johnson's work has won national awards on both the news and features sides of the paper.
My Interests

Fiction. Alt-country music. Craft beer. Basketball, tennis and, with inadequate diligence, running. But, mostly, raising his two sons, part of the next generation of newspaper readers (knock on wood).
