Stephan Benzkofer
Weekend Editor
My Role

I help plan and edit the Saturday, Sunday and Monday editions of the newspaper. My focus is mainly on Page One and the news sections. I am not an assignment editor.

I also co-write, with Mark Jacob, the "10 things you might not know" feature, which runs frequently in the Sunday Perspective section. You can find that at www.chicagotribune.com/10things.
My Biography

I have worked at the Tribune since 1996, most of that time as Page One editor. After graduating from Northwestern University in 1991, I worked at newspapers in Port Huron, Mich., and Northwest Indiana.
My Interests

My family. And in no particular order: Current events, reading, writing, history, traveling, running and chess. And punctuation.
