My Role

I edit national and international business stories for the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Allentown Morning Call, Newport News Daily Press, Hartford Courant, Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel and Orlando Sentinel.

What that means is, I help pick out what articles should go in the paper, figure what photos and charts should go with them, edit them to make them clear and concise, and write headlines.
My Biography

I've been a reporter and editor in metropolitan Chicago since Jan. 2, 1989. I started at a little paper with 8,000 paying readers and now work at the 1-million-plus Tribune Newspapers.

What I like doing is providing information that helps people spend and invest their money and understand the tumultuous financial times we live in.

Whether we work for a business or not, we all run our OWN business -- our household. Let's make a profit!
My Interests

Sailing, tennis, real estate, French history, Chicago history, history in general, all things Scotland. And my wonderful children and wife.
