Matt Bracken is a deputy sports editor at The Baltimore Sun, responsible for coordinating online coverage and shaping digital strategy. He also manages The Sun's University of Maryland and high school athletics coverage, in addition to writing Recruiting Report, a blog covering Terps and Baltimore-area basketball and football recruiting.
Matt graduated from the University of Michigan in 2005, earned a master's degree in new media journalism from Northwestern University in 2006, and spent the first 11 months of his career as an online producer, videographer and blogger at the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson. He started at The Baltimore Sun in July 2007 as a sports producer, served as an assistant sports editor beginning in April 2009, and was promoted to deputy sports editor in March 2010.
