I cover local government for York County and the City of Poquoson. I also cover crime and the York-Poquoson court system.

I am a native of Hampton and graduated in 1994 from East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. I have been with the Daily Press since 2006 and a Roanoke Times staff writer prior to that.
