Notre Dame beat writer for the Chicago Tribune, with a side order of Blackhawks in the winter. Brian covers the inner and outer workings of the Notre Dame football and men's basketball programs, then lends a hand on the 2010 Stanley Cup champions when duty calls.
Grew up on the north side of Westfield, N.J., spent six years covering college sports and feeling his blood thicken in Minnesota, then joined the Tribune sports section in 2005. Since, Brian has covered everything from the Illinois high school cheerleading championships to the WNBA to the Final Four to Super Bowl XLI to the Winter Olympics to the Stanley Cup finals, nearly all of it without embarrassment.
