My Biography

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998, started career in journalism at the Green Bay Press-Gazette as a sports clerk and part-time sports writer.

Moved with wife to Chicago in 2000 and took a job as a sports writer at the Naperville Sun (Fox Valley Publications/Sun-Times News Group). After nearly five years, was promoted to Sun sports editor and served in that position until late 2008. During tenure as Sun sports editor, section was honored with numerous state and national awards.

Promoted to Central sports editor for entire Fox Valley Publications in late 2008, overseeing four daily sports sections, numerous weekly sports sections and a universal sports edit/design desk.

Left Sun-Times News Group in 2009 to stay at home with two young sons, before accepting current position with the Chicago Tribune in October 2010.
