Responsible for breaking news coverage, which means writing stories for online and print about subjects including sex abuse, fraud, robberies, murders, traffic and weather -- sometimes all in the same day.
Anika is on the front line of the Orlando Sentinel's transition from a print publication to a nimble multimedia operation. She joined the Sentinel in 2006 and soon began writing about the Sunshine State's property insurance market as a part of the business reporting team. She switched to the exciting breaking news team in 2009. In the past, Anika, a Florida native, wrote about economic trends and development, elder issues, real estate and education as a freelancer and staff writer for several other newspapers and magazines in Florida.
