Andy Rosen
Crime and Courts Editor
My Role

I assign and edit crime and courts stories, working with a team of reporters to provide comprehensive breaking and enterprise coverage of Baltimore-area criminal justice issues.
My Biography

I grew up in Haverhill, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a dual degree in journalism and social thought and political economy. My first job out of college was at the Brattleboro Reformer in Southern Vermont. I came to Baltimore in 2006 and began working at The Daily Record, where I became the State House reporter.

In 2009, I helped launch the nonprofit state political news site MarylandReporter.com, and I joined The Baltimore Sun in June, 2010. I am a frequent commentator on 88.1 WYPR. I am pursuing a graduate degree in interaction design and information architecture at the University of Baltimore.
My Interests

I am a casual fan of classic R&B music, and an enthusiastic fan of Boston sports teams (but I hold no ill will toward the Ravens). I enjoy short nonfiction and long fiction.
