As a features reporter for the Chicago Tribune's lifestyles sections, Alexia writes about a range of topics including health, family, style, home decor, travel, food and drink, with a particular interest in dating and relationship issues.
Alexia, a native of Washington, DC (yes, the city itself), began her journalism career began at PBS' NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and journeyed through a newspaper in Lima, Peru, before settling in Chicago. After cutting her teeth on the cops beat at the City News Service, Alexia covered the suburban towns of Carpentersville, East Dundee and West Dundee for the Daily Herald, and then moved to RedEye to write cover story features catering to twentysomethings. She joined the Tribune's lifestyle staff in December 2009.
