My Biography
Sofia Santana joined the Sun Sentinel in 2006 as a police reporter. She previously covered crime and law enforcement-related issues in South Florida for The Palm Beach Post and The Miami Herald.
In recent years, Sofia has reported extensively on regional drug trends, drug overdose deaths and unsolved homicides and missing person cases. The majority of her time, though, is spent covering breaking news.
Sofia has a degree in criminal justice from Florida International University.
