My Role
Responsible for covering social media and technology issues impacting Central Florida. I write trend and analysis stories for the Orlando Sentinel and the www.orlandosentinel.com. I manage the blog Tech for the Rest of Us, which spotlights the tech and social media stories of the day. I'm also the host of Orlando Sentinel TweetUps, which brings together those on Twitter and gives them a chance to meet.
My Biography
I started my journalism tour in 1995 and have covered everything from courtroom dramas, alligator attacks, hurricanes and the NBA finals. I took a detour early in my career to earn a master's degree in social work at Columbia University. During my time at Columbia, I spent a year working at a Bronx high school and another year at the Legal Aid Society. I found working with inmates easier than high school students. I couldn’t stay away from news so returned to journalism. I've worked at the Sentinel since 2005.
My Interests
Scary movies, social media, chocolate swiss cake rolls, my husband and classic Law & Order episodes
