My Role

I am the restaurant critic for the Baltimore Sun. I contribute the a weekly restaurant review to the Sunday paper as well as a Wednesday column named "Table Talk" that recounts openings, closings, chef-moves, and other news related to the Baltimore area dining scene. I also maintain the Dining@Large blog, which invites the Sun's readers to join the conversation about dining trends, likes and dislikes, pet peeves, and everything under the sun.
My Biography

I joined the Baltimore Sun staff in September 2010. Prior to that I contributed restaurant reviews and occasional other cultural stories to the Sun and the Baltimore City Paper, as well as other regional publications. I am a native of Baltimore County, where I attended Pikesville Senior High School. I studied creative writing at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
My Interests

I love movies and swear by Powell & Pressburger, Max Ophuls, Eric Rohmer, and Caol Reed. I am devoted to the Mary Tyler Moore Show. This is the best job I've ever had.
