Previous positions include assistant bureau chief in Middletown and news desk copy editor at The Hartford Courant; assistant city editor at the Anchorage Times (Alaska); editorial page and news desk copy editor at The Gainesville Sun (Fla.); education and courts reporter at the Wilmington Star News (N.C.); town news reporter/assistant features editor at the Leesburg Daily Commercial (Fla.)
