Julie Anderson ensures that Tribune Publishing's newsrooms use best practices to grow their digital audiences. Julie also oversees Chicago Tribune's social media team.
Julie Anderson has worked at Tribune for 20 years in a variety of senior management roles, primarily in digital media, for the Orlando Sentinel and Tribune Interactive (later Tribune Digital). She began her career in the Orlando Sentinel newsroom in 1990. Anderson left Tribune Co. in 1995 for two years to become general manager of an Internet start-up called Destination Florida, backed by Tribune and Knight-Ridder, Inc., and returned in 1997. She served as Orlando Sentinel's VP/Multimedia and Interactive for eight years, and Marketing VP for three years. Anderson was promoted to SVP/Content Services in 2010. She has led various special projects, including helping integrate Tribune newspapers’ interactive and print staffs, and content R&D on a new platform.
