Travel writer.

I have been the Tribune's travel writer since 2008 and, in the last year, also been writing about beer (I know, tough combination). I was previously a crime writer for the Tribune and The Advocate in Baton Rouge. When people ask me how to become a travel writer, I usually tell them to cover crime for a few years. It teaches you to do anything.
