Why sell your house 'by owner?' If you want to know why and how, and get the tools to do the job right, come on over to ForSaleByOwner.com. It's Tribune Interactive's web site that equips and coaches 'by owner' sellers and buyers. I create and manage our site content and social media. I also handle media inquiries.
A business journalist since 1980, I was real estate editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel from 2004 through 2008. I freelanced weekly for the Chicago Tribune's business section from 1998 - 2004, and weekly for Crain's Chicago Business from 1980 to 2004. I've been widely published in national publications and have managed major national research projects that measure and support the advancement of women, for magazines like Working Woman and associations for women in cable tv and accounting. Three of my books were on family travel and four were on small business growth.
I'm a firm believer that we all should bring all of ourselves to work. You'd think that my passionate hobbies --quilting, sewing, beading, calligraphy, baking, reading, creative writing and travel -- might not intersect much with homeownership. But, they do! I'm always looking for ways to be more creative at work and more efficient and productive in my personal life, so I cross-pollinate great ideas all day long.
