My Biography

Jen came to the Sun Sentinel's night news desk as a 1A page designer in April 1997 from the Colorado Springs Gazette. She moved to the Palm slot editor position in 1999, then joined the day desk as a special projects designer in early 2001. In late 2001, Jen took over as the Next Generation coordinator and ran that program until it ended in 2007. She also helped with and then ran the Summer Minority Intern Program from 2002 through 2006. When Teenlink launched in 2006, Jen moved to the west office as the Teenlink youth editor. (Teenlink and Next Generation ran concurrently under Jen for one school year.) Jen graduated from Auburn University with a journalism degree.
