I am currently a general assignment reporter writing both sports and news, covering everything from Maryland basketball to murder trials.
I have been in the newspaper business since 1974, nearly all of it as a sportswriter. I came to the Sun in 1985 after working 10 years in the New York area to cover Maryland basketb all and football. Over the years, I covered national college football and basketball, Navy football professional golf and tennnis, the NBA, the 1996 Olympic Games, the Washington Redskins and the Ravens. In 2009, I was moved to the Howard County bureau to cover cops and courts and in the summer of 2010, I was moved back to sports to help cover the Ravens, Orioles, Maryland basketball and other general assignment work.
I love playing basketball and recently "retired" after coaching soccer on the recreational and club level for 15 years.
