Baxter joined The Morning Call full time in 2008 as a suburban and education reporter in Northampton County. In the fall 2010, he assumed coverage of Easton, a city of 26,000 people, and continues to cover the Easton Area School District.

Baxter graduated in 2008 from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. with a dual bachelor’s degree in journalism and politics. Aside from The Morning Call, Baxter's work has been featured in the LA Times, The Boston Globe, The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, Va.), and the Concord (N.H.) Monitor, as well as on CNN.
