Brittany covers Broward County government, and writes for the Sun Sentinel's "Broward Politics" blog. She also writes for the newspaper's "Moms and Dads" blog.

Brittany was born in Newton, Iowa, and spent her formative years in Rockwell City, Iowa. She later lived in Oklahoma, graduating from Atoka High School in 1987. She went on to the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating with a journalism degree (and minor in creative writing) in 1991. She is married to fellow journalist Bob Norman. The two have a teen son, Creed, and young daughter, Lily.
